Help

Help

If something goes wrong in the Administrator Panel, if you have troubles with a manager, if you see some obscur functionnality, probably this page will help you to navigate through the password protected administrator section.
This Help is composed of pages refering to each manager. These Managers have their own functionnalities that will help you to make operations over the EARSeL website, the members directory, the news, etc... Everything you will be able to do is (not yet) described here, explained and illustrated.

An icon like available means that the functionnality related to is working. At the opposite, an icon like not available means that you don't have access to this functionnality.
In the menu, you can see one of this icon near the 'Administrator Panel' link. If on 'available', this means you can work freely in all the available sections you want. If not, it is greatly demanded to not make any operations. It will be due to the webmaster's work on the database. Thanks in advance.

Description of a typical page :

Here are explained the main navigation elements present on all pages.
First one is the menu, on the left on the page. Please remember the explainations over the 'Administrator Panel' icon.
The menu is multi-level designed. The main links are always displayed and sometimes contain sub-links, which can even themselves contain sub-links. All these links will lead to the Help, a Manager or a functionnality in a Manager. Each Manager and functionnality is described in the Manager page refering to.
If you need to go back to the main page of the password protected section (the first one that was displayed when you correctly logged on), consider the upper link in the menu. This main page gives you a description of the menu entries, and a complete list of the available running managers. You can easily display a Manager if it is preceeded by the 'availabe' icon.

Except the menu, a page has his own navigation links. You will find at the very top of all pages, on the right of the blue menu column, special links over your navigation. It is in fact your geographical situation in the website.
Here is an example of this kind of link :

Help

If you click on the last element of such links, you will always reload the current page with the default options. The previous elements will lead you to the parent Manager, or the parent section.
Here is an example of links with different elements :

Help > Member Manager

The first element shows you that you are in the 'Help' section. The second is the (actual) page link. There can be more than two elements in this situtation link.

Also there is another special link. At the opposite, this link is at the bottom of the page. By clicking on it, the navigator will go back at the absolute top of the page.
This link is always displayed like that :

top of the page

These were the basics to navigate through the website. Now each Manager and functionnality will be described and explained in the following links.

However, the last way to contact him if the problem seems to be too important and avoid the possibility to continue your work, use the phone with a certain distance, your work hours are probably the webmaster's study hours.
